Teamwork in Action: DBMCPA Volunteers at The Living Room

The DBMCPA team recently spent a rewarding morning volunteering at The Living Room, a Sonoma County nonprofit that supports women and children experiencing homelessness or housing insecurity.

Our team divided into several groups to assist with projects throughout the organization. Two employees worked in the garden, while three helped in the kitchen. The rest of the team packed kitchen supplies from a storage shed, loaded the boxes into a van, and transported them to another Living Room location, where the supplies will be stored and sorted in preparation for a new kitchen.

That location is also home to The Living Room’s new thrift store. After unloading the boxes, our team had the opportunity to shop the store outside of regular business hours and discovered plenty of great finds along the way.

The morning was a meaningful opportunity to work together outside the office while supporting an organization that provides meals, housing assistance, case management, essential resources, and other services to local women and families.

DBMCPA is proud to support The Living Room and its important work throughout Sonoma County. We appreciate the opportunity to contribute as a team and help an organization making a meaningful difference for local women and families.
