I began my public accounting career as an intern here at Dillwood Burkel & Millar, LLP in 2006. During my tenure at Dillwood Burkel & Millar, LLP, I was responsible for providing tax and audit services to a myriad of clients and industries. During this time, I fell in love with the non-profit industry. After 6+ years in public accounting, I transitioned to private accounting and became the Controller for a local non-profit private school, Anova, serving children with autism and learning differences. I then went to work for our local Boys & Girls Clubs of Sonoma-Marin as their Controller managing the day-to-day financial operations. After 8+ years, I have returned to public accounting to assist our clients with their accounting needs.
I hold a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with an emphasis in Accounting and a Master of Business Administration, both from Sonoma State University. I am a Certified Public Accountant and Certified Financial Education Instructor. I serve as the Treasurer for the SSU MBA Alumni Forum and as a member of the finance committee for Boys & Girls Clubs of Sonoma-Marin.
In my free time, I love teaching financial literacy to teens and young adults. I enjoy reading and training in the gym. I also love to spend time with my family. On the weekends, you can find us exploring hiking trails in Sonoma County, tending to our garden, or planning our next vacation.
