
As a Sonoma County native I started my career at DBMCPA in December 2021 after almost 20 years in the restaurant industry. I attended Santa Rosa Junior College in which I completed with a certificate in Baking & Pastry along with an Associate’s Degree in World History.
My hobbies include traveling, going to the beach and spending time husband and our furbaby Olive.

I graduated from Sonoma State University in 2020 where I obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration with a Concentration in Accounting. During my time at Sonoma State, I was the co-chair president of MEChA, a student organized club that promotes culture and history within the Latinx Community.
In my free time, I like to hike, jump rope, and explore new restaurants. I also enjoy knitting scarves and watching movies.

Experience:
I began my career in public accounting at a local CPA firm shortly after I graduated in 2014, where I gained experience in tax and audit.
After six years in public accounting, I moved to private accounting, where I supervised the internal accounting transactions from three Latin American countries for an international corporation.
In 2021, I realized that my real passion in accounting was tax and returned to public accounting with DBMCPA. As a supervisor, I now oversee many of the firm’s tax return projects, including individual returns and a variety of entity returns, as well as wine costing projects for our wine industry clients.

I like to spend my free time with my family and friends. I love traveling to Mexico to visit my parents and to enjoy Mexico’s beautiful beaches and archeological sites.

I began my public accounting career as an intern here at Dillwood Burkel & Millar, LLP in 2006. During my tenure at Dillwood Burkel & Millar, LLP, I was responsible for providing tax and audit services to a myriad of clients and industries. During this time, I fell in love with the non-profit industry. After 6+ years in public accounting, I transitioned to private accounting and became the Controller for a local non-profit private school, Anova, serving children with autism and learning differences. I then went to work for our local Boys & Girls Clubs of Sonoma-Marin as their Controller managing the day-to-day financial operations. After 8+ years, I have returned to public accounting to assist our clients with their accounting needs.
I hold a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with an emphasis in Accounting and a Master of Business Administration, both from Sonoma State University. I am a Certified Public Accountant and Certified Financial Education Instructor.
In my free time, you can find me spending time with my family, reading a good book or planning our next vacation.

I enjoy working with clients from a variety of industries and assist them with tax planning and reporting needs. Prior to joining DBM in 2014, I worked as a Credit Analyst at a local bank.
I earned my Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration with an emphasis in Accounting (graduating with a Cum Laude distinction), from Sonoma State University. I also have an Associate degree in Business Administration with High Honors from Santa Rosa Junior College.
I have been an active member at the Active 20-30 Club of Santa Rosa #50 since 2015. I have previously served on the Board and was the Board Treasurer in 2016 and 2022.
I enjoy spending time with my family, and playing and watching soccer during my spare time.

I started at DBM in February 2019 after completing the Paralegal Program at Empire College. Prior to Empire College I also received my Associates Degree from Santa Rosa Junior College.
My hobbies include hiking, yoga and playing poker.

I joined DBM as an intern while double majoring in Business Administration with a concentration in Accounting, in addition to a Computer Science degree at Sonoma State University. I joined DBM full time after graduating in December 2018.
While I was a student at Sonoma State University, I worked in the Financial Aid Office; in addition to being a Student Instructor in Computer Science Department in a few programming languages. I also worked as an intern in business operations for a small business in Santa Rosa.
For fun, I enjoy trying new restaurants, especially when sushi is on the menu. I like listening to live music, spending time with friends and creating or laughing at one-line puns. When things are quiet, I enjoy cuddling with my cat, Nightshadow.

I began my career in Public Accounting in 2008 with a local McGladrey Alliance firm and focused on nonprofit and real estate organizations. Before joining DBM in 2017, I was the Director of Finance of a local nonprofit. Currently I work closely with my clients on all aspects of their accounting and reporting needs.
I graduated from the Haas School of Business at UC Berkeley with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration, and hold a Human Resources Management Certificate from Sonoma State University. I have previously served on the Board at Country Day Parents at Sonoma County Day School, and was a Board Trustee at Monte Rio Unified School District.
In my free time, I am involved in my kids’ sports and other extracurricular activities. I also enjoy reading, trail hiking, attending music festivals and enjoying the fine wine and food of the Sonoma County.

Experience and Expertise:
I began my career in public accounting in 2006 at a local McGladrey Alliance firm. I focused on real estate and not-for-profit organizations. I worked closely with the real estate developers’ accounting teams, assisting them with all aspects of their business from the day-to-day operations and purchase price allocations to the complications of 1031 exchanges and everything in-between.
After eight years with the local McGladrey Alliance firm, I moved to private accounting and was the Controller for a fast growing real estate investment group based in Santa Rosa. During my tenure with the company, they grew from a handful of entities owning mainly single family homes throughout California to 20 companies with predominantly multi-family properties in California, Oklahoma and Arkansas.
I returned to public accounting in 2017, and became a partner in 2022. While I continue helping clients with their accounting, tax and reporting needs, my focus has transitioned to assisting our clients with their assurance service needs.

I love to spend time with my husband and our two girls. When I can spare time I also enjoy scrapbooking & other paper crafting, reading and trying new wines.

I started my public accounting career in 2000 in the Bay Area with Arthur Andersen, and later with Deloitte & Touche. I have been providing auditing, accounting and consulting services for small to medium size businesses in the North Bay Area since 2005. Prior to joining DBM in 2013, I was an assurance service manager at a local McGladrey Alliance firm for 8 years.
I work closely with my clients in a variety of industries such as wine, manufacturing, technology, real estate, and nonprofits. I find it most rewarding to offer my clients with up-to-date industry specific accounting guidance, to assist them with analyzing their business through accurate accounting records, and becoming part of their success stories.
